although it's sunny today, yesterday saw april trying to squeeze in its last downpour before the end of the month. i really wanted someone to share their umbrella with me,
i guess sometimes we all do.

they were such a sweet couple i had to film them for a bit... i knew
there would be a perfect moment that we'd all like to share/see.. although i was kind of jealous
because i was walking alone and soaking wet!!!
Hello Duncan, you have such a talent for noticing small things, little gestures. I like the format you use, and how the subject emerges out of an abstract blur. Great work!

The film ends at the right moment - when the gesture is sweet, selfless, and bathing in togetherness. One block away from here someone could've filmed two people - one walking hunched over because they're taller than the other, both getting one-half wet, and perhaps even subtlely jockeying for limited realestate under the umbrella.
But I've always felt that the gesture of sharing the umbrella isn't about both staying dry together. It's about both getting wet together. :-)
