so i love sound, and i love music, but for some reason since i moved into my flat i haven't had a record player, someone took pity and lent me one yesterday, i couldn't resist celebrating the moment of the plugging it in for the first time, it's so good to jump back into that world of physical mediums, where every touch and brush can leave acoustic detritus on the record,
incomplete without surface noise

I miss my record player. I should really hook it up.
I recognize that deck, I think it's one of the ones I used in the world-record setting/champion winning 203 turntable simul-scratch I did at DefTrax 2004.
very beautiful. love the blurs. it's been too long since I was that person in the background, hearing some random gong music you were playing. ;)
I think my turntable was a techniqes SL-220.
I've got a bunch of albums with no turntable for them.

it leans near breath.. and i can't help thinking of a wrist, a hand, some particular quality of light..a moment
I've got a stereo sitting in the corner of my living room with a turntable. I haven't listened to any of my old albums in a very long time. This makes me want to get some of my vinyl out and throw it on, pop open a beer and listen to my old favorites.
BTW... Duncan, when the peppers are done I'll send some to you.
Beautiful.
i like how the QT's are strangely shaped.
wow... i may have started a vinyl revival ! ..
yes jay.. i like that portrait format... it's another notch in the 'this is not tv' argument. the format of putting things in floating windows on desktops means you can work with any aspect ration you want!!
beautiful duncan! so's the music
