i filmed this last night to explore some of the genre/style/definition debates that i'm enjoying reading.. if i learnt one thing it's that no matter how impressed i am with the picture quality on my stills camera, the sound is crap..

Great editing; the video really moves with the counterbalanced images.

Hi Duncan

This is great, I really like your "blurry slow motion style" as you put it. The split screen is always a winner, very cool.

for me it's the disconnect that jogs into perfect sychronocity like a bicycle chain slipping off and on the gears...chaotic..then perfectly engaged..or a gait that's broken then returns..and it's this..your gait, the motion of your body moving thru space as we see it coupled with the tracking shots as you see it that particulary does this for me..synergy...

Wonderful editing, especially the beginning, where you, after talking in one part of the screen, glide out of the blur on the other side and start talking there. Very very cool. Keep up the great videoblogs!

manifesto, schmanifesto... this is the best one you've done, by far! This is a vlog that people can get into! The video chronicle of duncan... nice!

So can people leave video comments on a video-blog?

I like this-- pushing the boundaries of definition, etc. You can't click a link that goes two places, but you can show video in split screen. Nice.
I found the definition of asbo. Those laws really fly in the UK? Can you impose an asbo on a library for people to keep quiet?

yeah.. it;s been getting a bit intense in the uk at the moment.. a few places have banned the wearing of hooded tops (because obviously the kids who wear them are ready for asbo behaviour!! )

i think i might do a full post about it soon.. although i live in somerset and not the tought city streets of taunton (for example.. the irony here may be lost on anyone who's never been to somerset! ;) )
